In this portrait of the artist’s husband and son, notions of black fatherhood are explored, capturing the links of legacy, connection, protection, pride, comfort, destiny and masculinity. 

The wallpaper halos parody the typical portrayal of the Madonna and Child throughout art history and pays reverence to contemporary fathers. 

All originals are purchased on the agreement that Yvadney Davis Art will be able to loan the pieces for exhibition activity. All costs for transportation will be at Yvadney Davis Art's expense.
